Therapy that goes beyond talking. Practical support for anxiety, stress and life's difficult moments.
Integrative Therapy in Monaghan, Louth & Online - Practical Support for Anxiety, Stress and Life's Difficult Moments
Sometimes you don't need to spend years understanding why something is difficult. You just need someone who can help you work through it, practically, honestly and without judgment.
I offer integrative therapy for people dealing with anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship difficulties, life transitions and the kind of general overwhelm that makes everything feel heavier than it should.
I see clients in person in Crossmaglen and work with people from across the area, including Castleblayney, Carrickmacross, Dundalk and surrounding towns in Monaghan, Louth and South Armagh. I also work online with clients anywhere in Ireland, the UK and English speaking globally.
What makes this different from standard counselling
Most therapy focuses primarily on talking about what's happening, exploring where it came from, building understanding over time. That has real value, but understanding alone doesn't always shift how you feel or how you respond day to day.
I bring practical tools and techniques into every session alongside the talking. Rather than simply exploring what's happening, we work directly with it, which means most clients notice real change faster than they expect.
You don't need to know anything about how these techniques work., you just need to be willing to engage with the process.
Most people find it feels quite different from therapy they may have experienced before, more active, more purposeful and more focused on what actually changes in your day to day life rather than simply what you come to understand.
What I can help with
I work with a wide range of difficulties including:
Anxiety and worry - the low-level hum that never quite switches off
Stress and overwhelm - when everything feels like too much at once
Phobias and fears, including anxiety around exams, professional, workplace, sports, public speaking, presentations, social & interpersonal
Low mood and emotional exhaustion
Relationship difficulties - communication, conflict, feeling disconnected
Life transitions - career changes, separation, bereavement, moving on, loss of identity
Lack of confidence and self-doubt
Feeling stuck - knowing something needs to change but not knowing how to move forward
General emotional wellbeing - for people who simply want a space to think clearly and feel better
If you're not sure whether what you're experiencing fits any of these, the free consultation is the right place to start. Bring whatever is on your mind and we'll work out together whether this is right for you.
Serving Castleblayney, Carrickmacross, Dundalk and surrounding areas
My practice is based in Crossmaglen, which sits at the meeting point of South Armagh, North Monaghan and North Louth, making it easily accessible from a wide surrounding area.
Clients travel to see me in person from Castleblayney and Carrickmacross in North Monaghan, from Dundalk and surrounding towns in North Louth, and from across South Armagh. For those who prefer not to travel, online sessions are available and work just as effectively.
If you are based in Dundalk, Castleblayney, Carrickmacross or anywhere in the surrounding area and are looking for a therapist, sessions are available online or in person, whichever you prefer.
What to expect from a session
Sessions are 50 minutes and begin with a clear picture of what's going on for you. From there the work is tailored entirely to what you bring on that day, some sessions are slower and more reflective, others are more active and practical. I follow your lead while bringing my own experience and tools to bear on what's present for you.
There is no fixed number of sessions. Some people come for a handful of sessions around a specific difficulty and find that's enough. Others prefer to work more regularly over a longer period. We review as we go and you are always in charge of the pace and frequency.
Before your session
Sessions take place in person at my practice in Crossmaglen, County Armagh, or online via Zoom or WhatsApp video call.
Before an online session please check that your camera, microphone and internet connection are working. Headphones are not essential but are recommended for the best experience.
My availability is displayed in UK time, please check your local time zone when booking from outside the UK.
Fees
£60 per session for clients in Northern Ireland. €70 per session for clients in the Republic of Ireland.
Pay as you go - no packages or long-term commitment required.
A free 30-minute consultation is available before your first session. This is a chance to talk about what's going on for you, ask any questions and see whether working together feels like the right fit. There's no obligation and no commitment, just a gentle conversation.

Client Reviews
5 STAR“I sought NLP therapy with Geraldine as I had been struggling with imposter syndrome in the workplace for several years. From the outset, Geraldine was incredibly attentive. She took the time to listen deeply, understand the root of my challenges, and guide me through the process with patience — especially when it took me a little longer to answer certain questions.
The timing of our session was ideal, as I had an interview later that day. Even before we finished, I felt noticeably more confident and grounded. My self‑doubt .…”

— Antoinette Marie Finn5 STAR“I had a session with Geraldine for my fear of wasps. I couldn't remember why this fear started or when. However, Geraldine carefully questioned me and a forgotten memory returned where I had witnessed a friend being stung in the throat by a very large wasp or hornet and the person went into anaphylactic shock with her throat closing up. Thankfully my friend was ok but I realised where my fear of wasps had begun. Using NLP techniques, Geraldine very quickly worked her magic. The result is nothing short of miraculous. I now no longer freeze or panic when a wasp comes anywhere near me!! ….”
— Ali Baldwin5 STARI had a session with Geraldine on the 8th of May, it is now the 13th. My issue was a lack of confidence in regards to the course I have just started. I spent an hour with Geraldine with the goal of overcoming that issue. Geraldine was open, friendly, put me at ease and made me feel relaxed and comfortable enough to discuss my issue openly and without reservation.
I felt safe throughout the whole process. And was surprised with the efficacy of the results. Leaving the session feeling so personally empowered that it exceeded my expectations …..”
