Transpersonal Therapy - A holistic approach to emotional wellbeing and personal growth

Transpersonal therapy is a form of counselling that supports both emotional healing and personal development. It recognises that you are more than your symptoms or struggles, you are a whole person with thoughts, emotions, beliefs, values, and a deeper inner world.

This approach is particularly helpful when you feel that something is missing, unclear, or out of balance in your life, even if you can’t easily put it into words.

Transpersonal therapy is always offered in a grounded, ethical, and supportive way. There is no pressure to explore anything that doesn’t feel relevant or safe for you. The work is guided by curiosity, compassion, and respect for your individual experience.

What Transpersonal Therapy Focuses On

Transpersonal therapy works with:

  • Emotional difficulties such as anxiety, stress, low mood, or feeling stuck

  • Patterns rooted in past experiences or relationships

  • Questions around identity, purpose, or life direction

  • A sense of disconnection - from yourself, from others or from life in general

Rather than trying to “fix” you, this approach supports you in understanding yourself more fully and reconnecting with what feels meaningful and authentic to you.

What Transpersonal Sessions Are Like

Sessions are collaborative, reflective, and led by what feels most relevant to you. We may explore:

  • How you experience yourself and the world

  • Inner conflicts or repeating patterns

  • Beliefs that shape how you live your life

  • Moments of insight, intuition, or clarity

Everything is approached gently and at your pace. There is no expectation to discuss spiritual ideas unless they are meaningful to you. Transpersonal therapy is inclusive and adapts to your worldview, whether that is spiritual, philosophical, or simply curious about deeper self awareness and understanding.

Online Sessions

Transpersonal therapy sessions are available online via Zoom, Google Meet, or WhatsApp video call. I will send you the meeting link and joining information the day before your appointment.

Please ensure you have a calm, private, and comfortable space, and that your equipment is tested and ready before the session begins.

Who Might Benefit from Transpersonal Therapy?

Clients often describe:

  • Greater self awareness and clarity

  • A deeper sense of connection to themselves

  • Feeling more aligned with their values

  • Emotional relief alongside personal insight

  • Increased resilience and perspective

As with all therapy, the process is individual, and there are no expectations or pressure to reach specific outcomes within specific time frames.

Transpersonal Therapy: How It’s Different

Transpersonal therapy is different from many traditional talking therapies because it looks at the whole of who you are, holistically, and not only the difficulties you’re experiencing.

While some therapies focus primarily on symptoms, thoughts, or behaviours, transpersonal therapy also makes space for your inner life, your values, sense of identity, and what gives your life meaning. It recognises that emotional distress can sometimes be linked not just to past experiences or current stress, but to deeper questions about purpose, connection, or feeling aligned with yourself.

This approach is always grounded and practical, and any exploration of deeper experiences happens in a way that feels safe, respectful and relevant to your everyday life.
