Which therapy is best for you?

Seeking therapy, especially for the first time, can be very confusing. There are so many different therapies available, talk therapies, psychotherapy, mind body therapy, holistic healing, NLP – so many!

Hopefully I can remove some of this confusion with my brief breakdown of which therapies I offer and what they are beneficial for:

NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming)

NLP is like being able to access the user manual for your mind, helping to reprogram your negative thought patterns and change the resulting behaviour.

NLP is best for a number of issues including fear, panic attacks, anxiety, phobias, self sabotaging behaviour, self esteem issues, confidence, public speaking, physical ailments, relationship and communication issues. It is also very effective for personal development, achieving goals, stimulating creativity, removing self limiting beliefs, resolving emotional blocks, discovering hidden talents and allowing you you achieve your optimal potential.

Shamanic Healing

Shamanic Healing is a holistic practice that treats every aspect of an individual – the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Shamanic healing doesn’t just address physical illness,  it is beneficial for mental and emotional issues and for those in need of spiritual counselling.

This type of spiritual healing is useful for all types of physical illness, emotional traumas, some mental issues, feeling stuck in life, unable to let go of the past, negative thought patterns, feeling disconnected, feeling lost in life, no joy in life, dealing with negative energy of other people or events, stagnant or stuck energy (which can cause physical, mental and emotional problems), clearing and rebalancing your energy field, removing negative entities and negative energy extraction.

Soul Retrieval

Soul retrieval is a spiritual or shamanic term for reclaiming the lost parts of the self that have been lost during your lifetime, due to childhood trauma, emotional injury, life stress and other significant life events.

Soul loss literally leaves you feeling like you have lost part of yourself. It can feel like emptiness, disconnection from life or other people, having no joy in life, lack of purpose or direction, emotional detachment, emotional numbness, distanced, hopeless, lack of interest in life and feeling like you are living on automatic pilot. Soul loss can also lead to depression, anxiety, fear of the future, memory loss, unable to remember large parts of earlier life, lack of physical or mental energy, apathy, lethargy and generally dragging yourself through life.

Transpersonal Psychotherapy

Transpersonal therapy is a branch or psychotherapy that integrates Western and Eastern philosophies. Unlike traditional talk therapies which only address the mind, transpersonal psychotherapy aims to heal the entire person on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels. Based on the humanistic therapy approach of Carl Jung, transpersonal therapy aims to expand your consciousness beyond your physical (ego) mind and to see ‘the bigger picture’ in your life, allowing you to access the much wider perspective of your higher self.

Transpersonal psychotherapy can lead to deeper self awareness, increased self acceptance, higher self esteem, a greater sense of purpose in life, enhanced emotional, mental and psychological wellbeing, deeper spiritual connection, transcendence of your ego and mind limitations, greater clarity of your life purpose, increased mental and emotional resilience, integration of your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual self, a stronger sense of your true self and a sense of inner peace and calm.
