Find Out What's Really Keeping You Stuck,
with Integrative Counselling & NLP Therapy

Therapy that works at the root, not just the surface.

Online therapy and in-person sessions for anxiety, overthinking, self-sabotage, low self-worth, emotional overwhelm, and more.

You know something needs to change.

Maybe you've already tried, you promised yourself you'd stop overthinking, set better boundaries, stop putting everyone else first. And you meant it every time.

And yet here you are again.

This isn't about willpower and it isn't about trying harder - something deeper is running the pattern and until that changes, nothing on the surface will last.

That is exactly what my therapy work addresses.

How Integrative Counselling and NLP Therapy Helps

People seek out my practice for many different reasons, but they usually share a common desire to break free from repetitive behaviours.

I offer an integrative, non-clinical approach blending transpersonal philosophy, psychology informed shamanic counselling, and practical NLP pattern-shifting. Drawing on my background in Traditional Chinese Medicine, I bring a somatic-informed awareness to this work - because these patterns don't just live in the mind, they live in the body too. You can feel them i the tension you carry, the inability to breathe deeply and the physical unease that is present even when nothing is wrong.

Together we work with all of it, thought, feeling, and body, to get to what is actually driving the pattern, addressing:

  • Low Confidence & Self-Doubt: Overcoming low self-esteem to trust your own instincts.

  • Setting Boundaries: Learning to stop prioritising others at your own expense and say ‘No’ without guilt.

  • Subconscious Patterns: Identifying self-sabotaging habits, core beliefs, and relationship attachment style.

  • Anxiety, Loss & Burnout: Finding a compassionate space for processing anxiety, stress, burnout, exhaustion and loss (of loved ones or your own life).

  • Life Transitions: Help navigating major life changes such as career changes, home life changes, midlife issues, menopause, grief and personal changes.

  • Mind-Body Patterns: Working directly with physical sensation, breath awareness, and internal body scanning to reach what talk alone cannot always access.

You don't need to arrive at your first session knowing exactly what is wrong. You simply need to know that something isn't working anymore and together, we will figure out the rest.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me if you have a query, Geraldine

Geraldine Fay, private therapist in Crossmaglen

About Geraldine

Over the years I've learned that people don't come to therapy because they're failing, or doing something wrong, or not doing enough. They come because they've been trying to solve the wrong problem.

Once they begin to understand why they've been feeling, thinking and reacting the way they have, something changes.

They stop blaming themselves, things begin to make sense, and from that place, change becomes much easier.

I won't tell you how to live your life or make decisions for you, my role is to help you understand yourself so clearly that the decisions come naturally. I believe lasting change comes from seeing yourself more truthfully, not from someone else telling you who you should be.

If you are looking for a private therapist in Crossmaglen, South Armagh, or the surrounding border counties of Louth and Monaghan, I offer individual face-to-face sessions as well as online therapy throughout Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, and the UK.

Ready to move forward?

If you're ready to understand why things keep happening the way they do and would like to explore whether therapy is right for you, I'd be happy to speak with you. Let's have a no pressure, no obligation conversation about what's going on for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I need therapy?

You might benefit from private therapy if you feel stuck in repetitive behavioural cycles, struggle with persistent anxiety, or experience burnout. Many of my clients seek support when they notice that their usual coping mechanisms are no longer working. You do not need to have a clinical diagnosis or a clear-cut explanation to start, simply knowing that you want something to change is enough.

How do I get started?

The first step is to book a free, no-obligation 20-minute consultation call through this website. This brief conversation allows us to discuss what you are experiencing, explore how my approach combining therapy and NLP coaching can support you, and see if we can work together. After your call, take time o think and if you choose to move forward, we can schedule your first full 1-to-1 session.

How long does each session last and how many will I need?

Each individual therapy session lasts for 50 minutes. Because every person's experience is unique, I do not enforce a predetermined or rigid timeline. Some clients find clarity and noticeable change within a few sessions, while others prefer ongoing therapeutic support over a longer period. We will review your progress together regularly to ensure our work continues to meet your goals.

Where is your therapy room located and is there parking?

My private, face-to-face therapy space is located in Crossmaglen, South Armagh, within the BT35 region. It is situated just minutes from the border, making it easily accessible for clients travelling from Newry, County Louth, and County Monaghan. There is always plenty of free street parking available just an easy 20 - 40 metres away and this short walk gives you a calm few moments to breathe and transition before we begin your session. The exact address and arrival instructions will be shared with you privately once your appointment is confirmed.

I am completely new to therapy, what happens in our first session?

Your initial session is entirely about creating a safe, comfortable space to understand your world and there is no pressure to say the "right" things. We will explore what is currently happening in your life, identify the underlying patterns or deep-rooted blocks keeping you stuck, and discuss how you prefer to work, whether you need the space to untangle your thoughts or prefer a more active, change-oriented approach.

How do online therapy sessions work if I can’t travel to Crossmaglen?

Online therapy offers the exact same personalised, high-quality 1-to-1 support as in-person sessions, with added flexibility. We connect via a confidential video platform, allowing you to access therapy from the comfort of your own home or office. This service is fully optimised for English-speaking clients located across Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, the UK, and globally.

How often will we meet, and what is your cancellation policy?

To maintain momentum and build lasting behavioural change, sessions are typically held weekly, particularly at the beginning of our work together. However, the frequency can be adjusted based on your personal needs. If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, I require a minimum of 24 hours' notice, otherwise the full session fee may apply. You can review my complete policy via the link in the footer.

How do I pay and what currencies do you accept?

Payment can be made securely online via bank transfer or payment link prior to your scheduled session, via credit or debit card. You can also pay via Paypal or in cash at your appointment (by prior arrangement). Because my practice serves clients across the border corridor and internationally, I accept payments in both Pounds Sterling (£70) and Euros (€80).
