Shamanic Counselling

You may feel drawn to something beyond a purely structured or traditional approach.
You might sense that what you’re experiencing goes deeper than words alone.

This is a space to explore that, in a grounded and supported way.

Why This May Feel Right For You

This approach may resonate if you:

  • Feel stuck in patterns that don’t seem to shift

  • Sense there is something deeper beneath what you’re experiencing

  • Feel disconnected from yourself or your direction in life

  • Have tried to understand things logically, but something still feels unresolved

  • Feel drawn to a more intuitive or experiential way of working

You don’t need to fully understand why, often there is simply a sense that this approach feels right.

How Counselling Sessions Work

We begin with a relaxed conversation to understand what you would like support with.

From there, you are guided into a deeply relaxed state using rhythmic drumming. This allows the mind to become quieter and more open.

As the process unfolds, you may notice images, sensations or insights arising naturally. You simply describe what you experience, allowing meaning to emerge from within you.

There is no right or wrong experience, and no pressure for anything specific to happen.

You remain aware and in control throughout.

A Different Way of Working

Shamanic counselling works with both conversation and direct inner experience.

Rather than only talking about problems, it allows you to explore your inner world more directly, through imagery, awareness and felt experience.

This can bring insight, clarity and emotional release in a way that doesn’t rely only on thinking or analysis.

The process is gentle and guided, and always held within a safe and grounded therapeutic space.

What This Work Can Support

This approach can support:

  • Understanding patterns that feel difficult to access through talking alone

  • Gaining clarity around situations or decisions

  • Exploring deeper emotional or internal experiences

  • Reconnecting with yourself and your sense of direction

  • Creating space for insight, release and change

Each person’s experience is different, and the process unfolds in its own way.

How This Relates to Therapy

Shamanic counselling sits alongside my therapy work, but is not separate from it.

It reflects the deeper, more intuitive aspect of how I understand and work with experience.

Some people choose to work in this way on its own, while others move between therapy and this approach depending on what feels right.

Begin With a Conversation

If you feel drawn to this way of working, you’re welcome to begin with a free, no-obligation conversation.

We can talk about what’s been coming up for you, and you’re welcome to ask any questions about the process. There’s no pressure to decide anything straight away, you can take time afterwards to reflect and see what feels right for you.
